Police alertness during Republic Day

The Delhi police are working
overtime since 26th January is just around the corner. The
deployment of police at various important Delhi
junctions is remarkable. Yesterday, I went to India gate and was pretty impressed
with the alertness of the Police.
Also,
security has been beefed up at airports as well as metro stations. It was a
relief to witness this sense of responsibility that was shown by the men in
uniform.
But I just wish such dedication by the police is shown all year round and not just during national holidays.

But police deployment is also an inconvenience.
all roads get shut and traffic becomes a problem. What is the solution for that?
