Life of Pi
is a fantasy adventure novel written by Yann Martel published in 2001. The book
was made into a movie in 2012 and was directed by academy award winning
filmmaker, Ang Lee. Life of Pi is a fictional story about Pi Patel, an Indian
boy from Pondicherry
who survives a disaster at sea. It is an epic journey of adventure and
self-discovery. While cast away, the young Indian boy forms an unexpected
connection with another survivor, a fearsome Bengal
tiger. The film is being applauded for its magnificent special effects.
