Gauri Khan (born Gauri Chhibber on 8 October 1971) is an Indian film producer and interior designer. She is in a relationship with Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan since 1984. In 1991, they married, and she gave birth to their son, Aryan in 1997 and their daughter, Suhana in 2000. She is the co-founder of the film production and distribution company Red Chillies Entertainment with her husband. Gauri Khan was born into a Punjabi joint family in New Delhi, India where she grew up in a Rajinder Nagar suburb. She did her schooling in Loreto Convent for 10 years and graduated from Modern School, New Delhi. She holds a degree of BA in history. She met Shahrukh Khan in 1984 and married him before any of his films were released, in both a Nikah and a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony on 25 October 1991.
