Son of veteran actor Raj Babbar and prominent theatre personality Nadira Zaheer Babbar, Aarya always wanted to become an actor. Chasing his dreams and making them turn into reality, he joined the Ekjute Theatre Group set up at the age of ten. Aarya made his Bollywood debut with 'Ab Ke Baras' in 2002. Since then, Aarya has acted in quite a few movies but it was Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail (2009) that helped him make a mark of his own. He was even nominated for an award at the 2010 International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) awards for his role in 'Jail'. He's acted in films like Mudda: The Issue (2003), Guru (2007), Chamku (2008), Tees Maar Khan (2010) and a Punjabi film Virsa (2010). Recently, Aarya was applauded for his terrific performance in Salman Khan starrer 'Ready' (2011) that further helped him carve a strong niche in the Hindi film industry. Aarya would soon be seen in debut director Shuja Ali's 'Kuch Log', a movie that has been inspired by 26/11 terrorists attacks in Mumbai. Aarya Babbar would play the role of a terrorist in the movie.
