Aamir Khan is easily the most cerebral of the ruling Khans of Bollywood. It is not for nothing that Aamir Khan is also called ‘Perfectionist Khan’. Aamir Khan was noticed first in his film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak which he starred in along with Juhi Chawla. The film went on to become of the biggest hits of the year. Aamir followed this with films like Raja Hindustani and Lagaan. His mantra of one film a year has established Aamir Khan as an actor who is known to strategize his career. Lagaan was later nominated for an Academy Award. Aamir Khan has worn many hats with aplomb. He started out as a film actor, some what of a chocolate boy hero for his good looks and romantic leads but now he has grown in stature after making his directorial venture Taarein Zameen Par. His film 3 Idiots, which became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all-time. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010 for his contributions towards the arts.
