According to a Delhi court, premarital sex is immoral and no religion permits it. I somehow don't agree with this. I think it's completely an individual choice if someone wants to indulge in sex before marriage and there's nothing wrong or unethical or immoral about it.

Also, I don't understand why do we need permission from any religion to enjoy sex? It's a natural phenomenon and before marriage or after it, how does it even make a difference. What's your take on this?

Agreed, it is up to the individuals to choose what's good for them. But many a times, sex before marriage can wreck havoc in a person's life if the partner refuses to marry him/her. The person becomes psychologically disturbed. Hence it is recommended and NOT MANDATORY that sex should be avoided before marriage.

I am totally against this verdict. Premarital or Post marital sex are totally individual choices. Both the partners are adults and educated. Proper safety measures are the crux of Premarital sex. Condoms keep u away from Sexually Terminated Diseases.

Delhi court is immoral. Morals are not subject to judiciary. Two adults can have sex anywhere, anytime they choose. Judiciary can only play games with consequences of the adult choices, like child birth, pregnancy termination etc. And for heaven sake, do not bring religion in to this.

If you practice premarital sex, please go ahead and do it. Seems your conscience is pricking and you want to get a sanction from a public forum for your immoral acts. Nobody is stopping you.

"Sex before marriage and there's nothing wrong or unethical or immoral about it. It's a natural phenomenon and before marriage or after it, how does it even make a difference" such thoughts are making the marriage institutions loose its lustre and permissive society. Which in the long run may prove to be damaging to future relationships.

The writer says "if someone wants to indulge in sex before marriage and there's nothing wrong or unethical or immoral about it" Fine...its not wrong if you are honest enough to declare before your partner about your sex life.Whether he/she is fine with it or Not is their prerogative , but, if you lie in case he/she asks or do not declare because you do not know how he/she will react means you know in your heart that there is something immoral about the act. It's a natural phenomenon and before marriage or after it, how does it even make a difference. The difference here is that we are human beings with ability to think. That way even those who go on to rape say they felt the urge or were tempted , that too is a natural phenomenon, but to control our desires is what makes a human superior from animals.
