Girls’ safety is parents’ problem?

on Feb 06, 2013 , 11:01 am
I was shocked to read MP Minister Vijay Shah's statement that tribal girls' safety is their parent's responsibility and not of state government. How can our government & ministers simply wash off hands and not do anything about women safety? Seem they are making easy ways for more crimes like rape to happen. What is your take on this?

Ridiculous to hear this. Govt has no authority to be in office if it works & thinks on this line.

My opinion is that you should put in charge [[strong woman]] know how to drive, then I think that will change and the law, I know and I am sure that women can do much more than men who are in power

well said. only if women take the charge of their own safety, things would change in this society.

This is the sad state of affairs in this "great" nation. While the world marches forward & reaches unimaginable heights in every field of life, we on the other hand are moving farther & father away from everything that's suppose to be good & beneficial to our human species. It won't be long before this nation disintegrates before our very eyes while we'll be just mute spectators then as we are now.GOD PLEASE BLESS INDIA.

This kind of irresponsible statements - only an Indian minister can make. this is height of being insensitive about women's safety.
