President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe has made a an outrageous statement against homosexuals. He has said that they are worse than pigs and birds and should be beheaded for their 'unnatural' practices. What do you think about his statement? Do you agree with him or disagree?

I believe human beings are worse than pigs and birds any day. But homosexuals are better than straight people, because they are likely to experience greater love.

Talking about something and having your own views necessarily does not bother anyone till you shove your beliefs down someones throat...so eventhough I have a view, I am not against Gays or Lesbos...thats how they define their lives and thats okay.

Lets for a second believe that Gay and Lesbian behavor is all natural - in that case everything in the natural world needs to line up with this philosophy...Now how will we grow fruits, vegetables and grains if all the plants were gays and lesbians? Pollination requires a male and a female. So I think Gay and Lesbian is a choice that people make (may be because of wrong wiring) but its not natural by any standards. People will accept and learn to live with it, but then it does not change the rules of nature.

It is against nature to eat animals and plants. It is against nature to pollute and breed and breed forever. Why isn't that a problem ?

If anyone read the Holy Scriptures even once, they would have known that the origins of being gay and lesbians were satanic in nature meant to corrupt the human race and destroy the sanctity of holy matrimony ordained by God. So this is a rampant evil version of an otherwise natural relationship. Tolerance is the first step towards legitimising an unacceptable norm and trying to be "hip" about these things and propagating this an the new "in" thing of today is the very strategy of blending evil with holy in the modern world. Morality is not a hollow pipe that is blown with passing wind but it is a referencable rock that is traced back to Holy Scriptures originating from the beginning of time that reveals the source of all morality, the moral law giver, the Lord God Himself who makes this evil stand out from the times before even our forefathers were born. If you try to comment on this topic out of the context of morality, then there is nothing left to differentiate between right and wrong. Animals indulge in behaviors of this sort by time-specific instincts, some for a short duration and some for a longer duration. Humans indulge in this by "choice" and hence there can be no parallel drawn between animals and humans on this issue. Transexuals and hermaprodites are born sexually abnormal but the practice being discussed here is one that prevails between normal males and females capable of living in natural and normal male-to-female relationships.

Did you know that holy scriptures were written by human beings who were eventually scared of the destruction of the human race ? Early Kings and Queens millions of years ago were always gay. Kings used to mate with men for sexual pleasure. They mate with women only for reproduction. Everybody's DNA has a streak of gay traits. It is just that we don't explore.

There's been a lot of comments below ranging from gays have the right to live to Mugabe has got the right to voice his opinion to animals being homosexuals too. Let me handle the animal comment. It's because we are better than animals that we have progressed in this world from the caves while the animal is still hunting or being hunted (just like we were) till today. Coming back to our discussion, homosexuals were around right from the days of yore, right from the time of our holy books, whether it's the Bhagvat Gita or the Bible or any other. They lived their lives in peace, they were neither stoned nor abused (I'm speaking in the larger context, not those small percentage of violence instigated against them), but never in the history have they been so visible as they are today. Due to this, there's enough pressure in society regarding our normal behaviours and outlook. I'm from the old school. For me, hugging my pals, throwing an arm around my friend's shoulder and walking around the locality cracking jokes and telling stories used to come naturally to me. But today, I am hesitant to portray such camaradarie due to the fear that I'll be misunderstood as a gay. This behaviour has seeped into our collective conscience with the help of media and media content. Introducing such behaviours in a comic yet subtle manner in comedy tele serials, making homosexual themed main stream movies (again the story having a comic theme, not in a way that it's accepted behaviour, slowly lulls our mind to accept it as something normal), live debates on their rights, etc. makes us feel that such behaviours is a part of society. Headlines like 'atrocious comments on gays' etc makes us feel guilty of voicing our opinion, yet, live in a restricted manner without being able to be completely normal with folks of my own sex, yet being biologically normal. An other part of society vociferally support such behaviours since for them, it's a 'Style Statement' and it makes them look 'very forward' in society. On the contrary, I feel very aware if anyone comes and sits a lil close to me in public areas which was not the case before. It makes me sick as the days go by. Just like the women get very much aware of themselves while bending down hence making them adjust their churidars at their behinds, in the same way, even I get aware of myself when I bend down in the office picking something from the lower rack of the filing cabinet while I got no churidars to arrange at my behind.
