I was always an ace worker in my top I-T firm where I worked as a software engineer. Everyone loved me, but then, something changed!

My manager found out that I was, gay, a homosexual! That changed everything for me! In a week's time, I got a termination letter in my mail without any explanation!

Why? Just because I was gay?

I am sorry to hear that. I think that s unfair.

First make sure that you were fired for being gay and not for any other reason. If you are certain and can prove it then seek services of a good lawyer and take your company to court on discriminatory grounds.

there is always two sides to a story. it is certainly wrong to terminate anybody's services based on bias of any sorts. If you are right and you are wronged then you must approach the appropriate government authoriries or NGO's and fight for your right and stop being a cry baby.

How can you say that you were fired because of "gay" - Firm might be in cost cutting process and showing door to under performers.

What makes to believe that he might be an under-performer? have u seen him working? It is utterly ridiculous on the company's part to treat him like that and sack him on the basis of his sexuality, be it an good worker or an under performer.

Yes, very much u can file the case, but at the sametime, check with a lawyer about the rights and what glitches our law upholds on homosexual. U also need to check what u have mentioned in your CV at the time of getting your job, if u not mentioned it properly, they also can take it as offense and file a counter case, which will run for some years. Check all facts before jumping to file a case.

It is purely your personal life and company has nothing to do about it. Did they give in writing that you are sacked because of you are a gay? If you can prove this in court of law, you can sue the company for damages.

Even I know of a friend whose colleagues laugh at him for being gay. Though he is not facing any issues from the management side, but the constant stares from his colleagues has made his conscious and worried. I just wanna say that you shud take a legal action. Sue the company

This is completely unethical, the company has no right to sack anyone on the basis of someone's sexual orientation
