Some people just don't need to try. Everything just falls into their laps without really putting in much effort. Whereas some people just slog day in and day out.

Do you think it's got something to do with destiny? Do you people believe in destiny? I had a huge argument with a friend of mine who kept trying to make me believe that it's all about Destiny but somehow I just don't buy it.

What do you guys think?

Part III It is the same in all walks of life. Everyone is destined to lose. But some change it to a certain extent. Some others it to a greater extent. And for some others their destiny was changed by others or circumstances. A man who lived 200 years ago could not use the internet. Today we are able to. Why? Did we invent the internet? Circumstances and somebody else's efforts are being enjoyed by us. That means they changed our destiny from that of the man who lived 200 years ago, with regard to using the amenities of modern technology and luxuries. In some people's lives they have to struggle to change their destiny, because they have to do it all by themselves. But in the case of others, entire windfall comes without efforts, because others have caused that change. The ultimate truth is that, all and sundry are expected to die at birth, or fail at every stage, or at every act, or incident in life. But destiny can be changed by ourselves, or by others for us, or by circumstances prevailing at the time.

Part II Why? Both were destined to die if they were left on their own. The first infant's destiny was changed by the others who were associated with it, if it survives. In the second case the people associated with it could not change its destiny, if it dies. This is the case with everybody and everything. Destiny is implied and destined. But that destiny can be changed by people and circumstances associated with that destiny. The destiny of a student is to get zero percent marks in the examination. But that destiny is changed to varying extents by the student and the teachers and the parents and the people and the circumstances associated in the process. Some change it to 1 % marks. Some to 2 or 3 %. Some to 30 or 40 %. Some 60 or 70%. Some to 100% etc.

Since my comment is too long and is being rejected, I am putting it into different parts. Part I Destiny is true. Changing Destiny is also true. There is a lot of difference between both. Some struggle to change their destiny, because they have to do it alone. Some don't need to try because somebody else has already changed it for them. Let me give an example. Take the example of an infant born in the best hospital with the best facilities, staff, best parents, etc. Take another example of a malnourished woman, living in all unhealthy circumstances of this world. Which of these infants has the better chance of survival? In both the cases the infants born are completely helpless and cannot survive on their own. Their destiny is to die after a few hours or days. But, in the first case, the infant in all probability will survive and in the second case the infant in all probability die.

If destiny exists then we might as well just sit at home and laze about! Why bother to do anything. Jo hona hai woh toh ho hi jayega! Right?

Everything in life is predetermined and predestined. It is Destiny that guides us to perform Karma and not that we perform Karma as we wish.

Destiny or fate is a predetermined course of events. It may be conceived as a predetermined future, whether in general or of an individual. It is a concept based on the belief that there is a fixed natural order to the cosmos. Whether you believe or not whatever is happening, good or bad, is destiny.

So true. Destiny do exists but can’t be beyond your Karma (Efforts). It happened sometime that you put your 100% but still doesn’t work, but it always pay back some other ways (that’s destiny). I’m claiming this based on my own experience. So do believe in destiny but always trust your Efforts. Remember famous dialog of “Jab We Met”. “Insaan Jo Actual Chahta hai, Life Use Wo Hi Deti Hai”. It actually true. So don’t give up for your destiny, try to turn the wheel by your efforts.
