Wow! The government of India has shown great maturity in banning 39 websites which allow users to share pornographic images and videos. I finally see some thought being given to curb the rise in sex crimes in India.

If these sites are banned, the sick mentality of Indian men might also get reformed over time. Kudos to the Indian government. Don't you agree?

Ya ban porn sites but allow pornstars to flourish in india and influence young people.Indian government suffers from TUNNEL VISION!!!

Yes, its late but good decision of banning such porn sites. But this is not enough as they will start the same under different names. There are no of such vulgar sites. Government has to find out such other sites also & take strict action against such. Unless we implement rules & regulations strictly, we cannot accept good results out of it. We must all people should be aware of this that only initiative from government is not simply enough but also need to educate all the bad effects of such sites & made them aware. Then only we can reduce this & automatically the importance will be reduced of such sites.

I find it amusing that most of the people completely missed your sarcasm .... I do not agree with the ban .... it is similar to illogical solutions such as banning alcohol due to rise in alcohol related road accidents ...... or banning sleeping pills due to rise in sleeping pill related suicides ...... the examples are extreme but so is the step taken by the indian government.......it is the kind of moral policing that a developing country like india would do good to avoid (land of snake charmers to IT hub was already a difficult transition)........ even if you take statistics into account based on per capita crime rate in this case rape ..... many developed countries have a higher rate (it can be argued many of the incidents go unreported in india) ...... considering that majority of the porn websites have their origin in developed countries it is kind of an anomaly Further, any act of indulgence .... sex, alcohol, speed racing, trekking ...... which a person would like to do again and again for pleasure is because of release of dopamine in the brain. The only problem increased exposure to porn would cause as I see it is POOR PERFORMANCE SEXUALLY. Yes surprising isnt it. Well, in the internet age you have access to more than 1000 beautiful women at the click of the mouse ..... so in which case do you think more dopamine would be released ....... sex with a partner (read same)? Still I would not ban the porn sites!!!!!! But then again .... it is India, sex is a taboo has been a taboo and will be a taboo for the next 100 years ..... woman traditionally has been (by majority) as a creature who could bring shame to family -> village->city->state->country for something as grave as wearing a pair of jeans in public ...... and yet we have the temples of khajuraho with god knows how many women have been depicted in seemingly impossible sexual positions exposing their lady parts ....... I wonder how many rapes happened there?

It's so easy to talk anything rubbish about indian men,if we really look into prevaling social evil in society we will find both are responsible, if any government official do corruption does their mother or sister disowm them?no they also want to enjoy with his money, dowry is encouraged by in laws and it include women also, other social evils also women are not less behind it's just some fanatic fashion which really allows frustated women and men to say anything about men and Islam,it's thier frustation and fanatism

Banning is good, but in our country it is about implementation, that does not happen just like that, at the same time, attitudes of both men and women need to change for better, it is also in a general thinking that always men watch porn, but women also watches but do not express or cannot express it, as of the assault on women goes by, it definitely needs a change in the mindset of men towards woman and vice versa.

how about banning over exposed in hindi movies where girls are wearing nothing too hide your imignation, need to get that right where all this new girls are showing lots of things so banning such sites will not help at all, start getting rid of this first than start thinking with others.
