While unpredictable rains may irk the hell out of you, facing the traffic jams and driving on waterlogged roads make for even worse experience. Delhi and NCR has been witnessing heavy rains since past two days and as a result the life seems to have come to a standstill.

A mere 45 minute drive from West Delhi to Gurgaon took about nearly more than 2 hours in the morning. GOSH! Due to such bad traffic on roads and even on the highway, there were quite a few accidents reported. I seriously fail to understand how rain is connected to traffic jams in the city. Why is that every time it rains, traffic on roads gets mad and creates such troubles?

Surprisingly, it’s due to the underground wiring that traffic signals stop working during rains leading to sickening traffic jams. Don’t know if our government is taking any steps to overcome such issues. It doesn’t end here!

Adding to this horror sight, the drainage system is so bad in some areas that when it starts raining, water-logging becomes the way of life for residents. Imagine walking through those dirty and filthy water logged streets and making way for endless diseases to affect you. It’s really disgusting at times when you are so helpless and can’t do anything about these things. I wish there were some concrete measures to deal with these doldrums that rains bring along.
