Famous for its old and winding banayan trees, people say that they have sighted a woman in white saree around the trees and who disappears suddenly.
Lothian Cemetery is the oldest burial ground for Christians in Delhi and has many ghost stories associated with it. The one most popular is that of the headless soldier. It is believed that a young soldier blew his head after being rejected by the girl he loved who now walks with his head in his hands on moon-less nights. Bahadur Shah Zafar's sons Mirza Mughal, Khizr Sultan and grandson Mirza Abu Bakr, were stripped naked and shot at point blank range by William Hodson at the Khooni Darwaza during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. It is believed that blood drips from its ceiling during monsoon and the restless spirits of Zafar's sons still float around in the ruin.

Legend say that W-3 was owned by an old couple who were murdered and buried in an under ground water tank in the house by a yoga guru who was eyeing their property. It is said that the yoga guru was highly trusted by the old couple. It was since then that people have heard strange noises of screams and sobs from this house!
Coverted into a heritage hotel in the 1980s, Brij Raj Bhawan is said to have a resident ghost named Major Burton who was been killed by Indian sepoys during the 1857 Mutiny. He is said to be a harmless spirit of an elderly man walking with a stick. But he slaps night guards if he finds them sleeping on duty!
Tourists have heard strange noises on the windy Dumas beach at night. Voices which ask them to go back and go as far away from the ocean as possible. A number of tourists are known to have disappeared while taking walks on this beach at night!
There is a particular room on the ground floor of this hotel, where guests have reported their bed sheets had been pulled off while they slept. Some have woken up in the middle of this, but that hasn't stopped the ghosts from continuing with their pranks. This room is no longer rented out to guests.

As his assassins chased him all across the fort, a 13 year-old boy yelled, again and again "Kaka, mala vachva!" (Uncle, save me!). It is said that visitors to the fort after nightfall can still hear his cries for help.
